Helpful Tips

Just go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and search for Airluum. The app should take under a minute to download.

You can either create an account by entering your email address and creating a password or simply sign up with your Apple or Google account.

You can update your profile picture, contact information, and more by selecting “My Profile” from the navigation menu on the left. Once you are in your profile, use the “edit” button located in the top right corner.

As a nod to the time capsules we made as kids, Airluum capsules can contain family tree information, photos, recipes, recordings, and more than you could put in the coffee can buried in our backyards – safer too. You can make a capsule for friends, family or even events like a birthday, anniversary or wedding.

One of the coolest things about Airluum – is the ability to use text messaging to easily upload memories on the fly! If you provide your cell number, we will set up a special number for you to save in your contacts and easily text photos or messages to post in a capsule. They display the same as in-app uploads.

Each capsule will have a different phone number, which can be found under the capsule profile and labeled as Airluum contact number.

Your phone number is not shared. See Your Data for more information.

To find family and friends, use the search function on the home page (top right-hand corner). You can search by name and invite your friends to connect. Once you’ve added your friend or family member, you can share your posts with them – or not. You can select to keep specific posts private.

Tell them how much fun Airluum is and ask them to join!.

Once you are connected (see “How do I Find Friends”), create a post (located below your capsules), select upload, on the next screen, you can select Share to Friends. You can also select to share the post with additional capsules.

Select “My Family” in the left menu navigation. You can click on any person already in your family tree to add more family members (and pets!) related to them.

Select “Share Your Family” from the menu. You will be asked to allow access to your contacts and the app will draft a SMS (text) invitation for you. Your selected friends and family will be sent a preview of your family tree.

If you would like your friends and family to contribute to your family tree and/or time capsules, connect with them under the “My Friends” menu selection and use the magnifying glass to search for them. (They must have signed up for Airluum to be searchable.)

After drafting your post and selecting upload, you can set the post as private by toggling the bar to active, which will turn green so you know your post will be private.

We know you have approximately a zillion photos on your computer that you would like to share with others easily. However, the desktop version is in progress; it will be available soon.
